Coaching

“A Life coach can help unlock your potential by opening you up to alternate ways of thinking and creating clarity for your direction in life.”

You are entirely up to you.

What’s the difference between coaching and counseling?

The type of support you choose will depend on what you hope to achieve. If you feel there are unresolved issues from your past, you may find it helpful to meet with one of our individual or couples therapists. If you are looking to set goals for yourself or your relationship, that focus on what you can change in the here and now, you may prefer coaching. If you are in any doubt, please reach out to speak to a member of our team.

Individual Coaching is $65 per 60min Session & Couples Coaching is $138 per 90min Session

Couples Coaching

“Happy relationships are based on a deep friendship, mutual respect and enjoyment of each other’s company” - John Gottman

For our couples work, CAC utilizes the Gottman principles. There are two ways couples can benefit from Gottman principles at CAC: through couples therapy, and through relationship coaching. This service is centered around skill building and practicing the skills taught in the Gottman method. Coaching sessions are designed to strengthen your committed relationship using interactive exercises practicing the Gottman skills. Couples tend to make progress sooner when they practice exercises designed to strengthen friendship and dialogue about issues respectfully. Relationship Coaching at CAC provides instruction and practice with these exercises, either on its own, or in concert with Couples Therapy.
If you already have a strong relationship, couples coaching will provide you with insights and tools to make it even better. If your relationship is distressed, coaching will enhance your couples therapy sessions and will strengthen your road map for repair.

Areas of Practice for Couples Coaching

  • Happy relationships are based on deep friendship. With Couples Coaching we work on deepening your friendship and connection to reigniting the spark that brought you together. Couples are provided with resources and guided through positive exercises designed to help you grow closer and feel understood. When your friendship is strong, other areas of your relationship flourish.

  • It is easy to take each other for granted. When you openly share with your partner what you appreciate about them, it strengthens your bond. When you create a firm foundation of affection, honor and respect, it is much easier to overcome problem areas in a positive and productive way.

  • Fun, playfulness, and adventures are key ingredients to a relationship’s vitality. Let’s explore ways to increase and maintain the spark, laughter, and connection in your relationship. We’ll also guide you through the importance of what we call Rituals of Connection—the behaviors and practices you create that reinforce the love between you.

  • All couples experience conflict, but you can learn how to manage conflict and form compromises in a healthy, productive way.

Constructive conflict management begins with the development of six skills: Soften Startup, Accept Influence, Make Effective Repairs During Conflict, De-escalate, Soothing of Self and Partner, and Compromise.

No one learns these skills overnight. It takes practice. I can help you using different exercises for effective communication with your partner.
